Florida QB Jeff Driskel Out For The Season After Suffering Broken Lower-leg Vs Tennessee

Florida has lost quarterback Jeff Driskel for the season.

Driskel will need surgery after breaking their right leg in the first quarter of Saturday’s 31-17 win towards Tennessee, coach Will Muschamp mentioned after the game.

“Jeff Driskel is as tough a kid because I’ve been around so when he looked at the sideline and waved, We knew it was bad, ” Muschamp said on CBS.

Driskel fractured his fibula, the smaller bone in the lower leg, Muschamp said.

Junior Tyler Murphy, who replaced Driskel around the next drive, will take over because starter for the Gators, according to Muschamp.
